Andrew's N.A.R.T.
Report from Seattle, Washington
Today I met up with Al (and of course the NART shirts) and we headed on down to Pacific
Raceways (formerly SIR) for the 2 Fast Seattle 100 event.

Bannon was riding in this event for the 2nd time, after having a blast at the inaugural
event.
This year it was much bigger. As you can see from the above link, SPEED channel was
there, as were AMA PRO Racers: Jason Pridmore, Tony Meiring, and Josh Hayes. I spoke
with Greg White of SPEED TV for a while about the track, and Boxer Cup racing. He is
a big guy, much bigger than he looks on Two Wheel Tuesday.
Tony Meiring really disliked the track. Perhaps you will see his interview on Speed.
I sat there laughing under my breath the whole time as he talked about poor runoff,
poor pavement and possibly hitting a tree. I then piped in "That's why we call
it the Ghetto Track." That cracked him up.
I talked with Josh Hayes about his crash last week at Road Atlanta. It looked
horrible, but he said it was really minor. He said Eric Bostrom really crashed hard.
It was interesting to talk to him about the wreck, as we got to see it a bunch on
TV Sunday there was even bike camera footage of it. I asked him how fast you enter
those esses at Road Atlanta and he said he was probably doing around 50. It looked
faster on TV.
So anyhow Al and I got Pridmore, Tony Meiring, and Josh Hayes to sign the shirts with
their numbers, and Greg White signed his name and added a SPEED under it. Bannon
signed, and next will be Peckhammer and GW then Culprit.
Jenner where are you?
Al took off for home and I hung out in Bannon's pit. I came in handy too cause he
had to put on new brake pads and then bleed them. Luckily I was there to grab the
brake lever, or he prolly wouldn't have been able to head back out to the track. :-)
